pastel

i developed a cold over night. the culprit, i suspect, is the cat. it’s some sort of mutated illness that is turning me into a zombie. needless to say, i will be at home all evening in a dimly lit bedroom listening to apocalyptic folk music (and possibly up beat candy pop from japan). video games hurt my eyes and i definitely can’t read subtitles, so what better to do than attempt fresh pastel artwork!

also note.. the picture up there was made over a year ago and it’s posted on my deviantart page!

inklings

i was going to hand out resumes today but i found some old inks in my basement and decided to give ‘em a go! inking is a lot of fun but i didn’t have much time to spend on these so i hope to work harder tomorrow for better results!

right now i am working with ryan on our blog project!

blurb

my book finally came in the mail last week! just took the photos now. there is 64 pages with roughly one photo per page. i made it quite simple for the sake of testing the booksmart program and quality of blurb. it turned out great! i will have to make a new cover, something a little easier on the eyes, then it will be published fo’ real on blurb.com! possible christmas gift idea, hmm.

new blog

this should be a good new home for me, as well as motivation to create at least 1 nice thing each day. i’ll be writing more personal updates in my livejournal, and artistic words in my vox. i’ve been using blogger for various rants, but i have decided to close it up and start fresh with wordpress. the thought of also creating and maintaining a tech hobby blog in the near future is seeming quite do-able after fiddling around a bit with spottedquoll.

i am still without camera after the fatal gatorade incident at the ancaster fair, so i can’t garantee photo updates too often. any suggestions for cheap film/polaroids in the hamilton area?
